What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will join a team that takes full responsibility for designing, developing and maintaining the Business Intelligence platform, from designing ETLs to providing the tools to get timely and accurate insights.
What will I be doing?
- Implement and maintain data pipelines, considering internal and external schemas, and ensuring data quality and consistency
- Detecting and correcting errors in our BI Platform and process in order to guarantee reliability
- Understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Design ad-hoc reports and data extraction to support the decision-making process and operations
- Hands-on analysis, design and develop reporting dashboards
- Manage Business Intelligence tools and provide support
- Build automated reporting solutions
- Ensure timeliness, resilience, availability and accessibility of data present in our BI Platform
- Develop and maintain data documentation of the BI Platform Architecture, processes, and procedures
- Remaining up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of our deliverables
- Contribute to the definition of standards and best practices for the development of data solutions
- Work closely with the Data teams to provide better solutions
What skills do I need?
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced experience in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering
- Proficient in SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience with data modeling
- Experience with Big Data Platform AWS / GCP (EMR, Lambda, EC2, S3, Athena, Redshift)
- Experience with tools such as (DBT, Airflow, DataHub, Github)
- Experience designing and developing complex ETL processes
- Knowledge of Python and Spark
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker / Power BI or similar BI Tools)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a holistic approach
- Written and spoken English
- Ability to translate user requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to work independently
- A team player
