The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key
role in supporting our technology organization by providing value-added
financial analysis, modeling, operational analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis
to enhance decision making particularly focused on the company’s data center
migration. This position will be responsible for maintaining and complying with
finance and governance policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of
efficiency while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
Analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data from
various platforms compared to plans, forecasts, and prior year results
Research, analyze, and report on financial and accounting inquiries for the
division
Routine communication with sales on partner reporting
Use data science methods to create complex models for retention, pricing, and
other operational insights and strategy
Prepare and analyze the periodic management reporting of financial results for
the project
Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying
trends, recommending actions to management
Create client-facing dashboards that give our referral partners insights that
incentivise future business
Manage hiring additional analyst with capacity for business analytics
Ability to manage teams remotely
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Masters in Data Science or Business Analytics preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analytics
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, generate alternatives and clearly
communicate findings to drive positive change
Ability to grasp understanding of business models and key drivers quickly and
independently
Demonstrated ability to make effective presentations
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and personnel
Demonstrated proficiency with expert Python or R preferred
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize
assignments and work effectively under time constraints
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
Proven record of financial planning and strategy decisions
Must be able to meet deadlines and deliver timely and accurate results
Thorough planning and organization skills with great attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment
Ability to succeed in a team environment and perform cross-functional duties as
required.
Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls
Strong research and analysis skills
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
Ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance
