THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in our Supply Analytics team within Lounge by Zalando, you will collaborate closely with the Supply team and leadership to drive our vision of acquiring unmatched value-for-money deals that enhance Lounge user acquisition, conversion, and retention.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll design, build, and optimize data models in relation to planning within ANAPLAN planning tool and our Data Warehouse to support financial planning and analysis, enabling smarter decision-making across the organization. You will lead initiatives to develop and maintain scalable models, ensuring they capture stakeholder requirements for effective Lounge planning and steering.
Your role involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, particularly bridging the gap between business users and central data teams, to share requirements and to integrate their data products. Success in this role requires a strong analytical mindset, ability to independently drive alignments across organisations, data modeling competencies and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical users effectively.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Develop a strong understanding of business processes, tools, and the overall data landscape to build, implement, and operationalize planning data models for Lounge’s ANAPLAN Assortment Financial Planning (AFP) module and future modules.

Lead the collaboration with relevant technology and data teams across Zalando, ensuring optimal use of existing datasets and enabling the consumption of viable and relevant data points.

Be accountable for all aspects of data availability, consistency, and quality of the data into, within, and out of our ANAPLAN AFP tool.

Collaborate with our external vendor on future implementations of planning modules.

Drive alignments and do all necessary analysis for planning metrics
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have experience with data modeling and data design, and possess an understanding of data integration tools and techniques, with good knowledge of SQL; you can work autonomously and guide others in using these tools.

You have at least 1 year of experience with Tableau or a similar BI tool. Proficiency in ANAPLAN, including model building, formula writing, and dashboard creation, is a plus, with dedicated on-the-job training provided upon your start with us.

You have led impactful projects and possess domain expertise in commercial planning, particularly in sales and supply planning, and category controlling.

You are recognized for your willingness to make an impact, ability to spot inefficiencies and make improvements with a hands-on mentality, finding simple, efficient solutions to challenges, and your proactive nature, adapting quickly to changes while remaining focused on key objectives.

You balance technical acumen with business understanding, excel in stakeholder collaboration, and communicate insights clearly and engagingly.

You have an educational background in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Informatics, or a similar quantitative field, with 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced (e-commerce) retail environment; knowledge of statistical methods is a plus.
