Job Description
A typical day for you could look like the following:
In the morning you have your one-on-one with the Business Development Manager for Malaysia. In this session you discuss the progress on acquiring a new hotel group. The hotel group is looking for a branded event to lock in business for the next year and you agree to engage our trade marketing team to help prepare materials and lock in the deal.
From mid-morning you then have an engagement session with a Malaysian convenience chain outlet. They are looking to use our Heinz branded mayonnaise in their pre-packaged sandwiches. During the engagement session our in-house chef demonstrates the versatility and uses of the mayo and you discuss our desire to partner on new innovate recipes to help secure this business.
You then go out for a team lunch to spend time developing your relationship with this business partner.
In the afternoon you review the latest distribution data with our key distributor. After recently approving new investment in a tactical geographic region, we are hoping to see improvement in total distribution within the universe. You see some progress but also opportunity for improvement and set actions with the distributor to accelerate the distribution growth.
Just before the end of the day you take a call from the finance team based in Bangkok. They have some analysis to share with you and suggestions how to optimise promotional spend, leading to increased profitability.
