Senior Business Controller

The Finance Business Controller will support the CTO and product/software development teams by providing financial insights and strategic guidance to drive growth and operational efficiency. As a key link, this role will closely collaborate with the financial teams of the business units to ensure alignment and promote a cohesive approach to financial planning, analysis, and cost management within the division.

Additionally, your key responsibilities include:
Financial Planning and Analysis

Lead budget planning, forecasting, and analysis efforts in collaboration with the division and CoE teams.

Provide actionable insights by analyzing financial performance using key metrics, thereby improving decision-making and goal achievement.
Business Partnering

Collaborate with the CTO, product/software development teams, and financial teams of the business units to understand and support the financial needs within product development.

Provide guidance on investment decisions, project feasibility, and ROI analysis for both ongoing and new initiatives.
Cost Management

Oversee costs within the division and CoE cost centers, aligning expenditures with strategic goals and identifying optimization opportunities.

Conduct variance analysis with financial teams of the business units and recommend corrective actions to manage resources effectively.
Cross-functional Collaboration and Strategic Insights

Build and maintain relationships with financial teams of the business units to ensure alignment in financial planning, reporting, and resource allocation.

Develop and deliver financial reports with insights into profitability, resource allocation, and capital expenditures across product lines.
Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting and analysis, and promote a collaborative approach across business units.

Contribute to the development of financial frameworks by the Finance CoE to support long-term planning and product/software growth.

Who are you?
You are an experienced financial business controller. You are forward-thinking and proactive in identifying business problems and opportunities, developing action plans, and executing those plans. Cross-functional collaboration with geographically dispersed, virtual teams is familiar to you, as is effectively communicating at various leadership levels, including executive management.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling, or a related field; an advanced degree or RC is preferred.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance, with a strong background in product/software development or technology sectors.

Proven experience in collaborative business partnering, especially with cross-functional and financial teams.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.

Effective communicator, able to translate complex financial data into clear, business-oriented information.

Experience in developing a vision for the IT tools that support Finance.

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and deliver timely and qualitative results with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

Ability to work on multiple projects and manage changing priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Ability to synthesize and evaluate complex data.
