Job Description

Role Overview

To strengthen our role as a key market player in Europe, we are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help drive the growth and development of payment services in Europe by providing strategical information and insights around current performance, revenue trends and business future trajectory.

The core function of this position is to provide key information around overall business performance within the UK/I region, focused on established KPI’s and highlighting critical information to the management team. This role will be critical while forming key data points required for decision making – including forecasting and planning - proven experience and understanding on the payment industry will be vital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop reports / dashboards that measure revenue performance, identify trends and highlights actionable insights focused on revenue growth with a view around current individuals/teams/channel/product effectiveness
  • Support in creating complex investment business cases with a focus on maximized ROI and translating business strategy into relevant metrics to support the asks
  • Provide detailed information from a planning, forecasting and performance management perspective, delivering data insights and quickly identifying where course change is required and where revenue can be maximized
  • Be responsible to provide accurate analysis (including Ad Hoc analysis), assuring data reliability and consistency, act as voice of the segment while resolving data inconsistency queries with other shared services
  • Act as data subject matter expert for the rest of the region, leveraging their knowledge and increasing analytical capacity within the segment
  • Support the wider SMB UK&I Leadership Team in delivering data insights and analysis which forms part of Line of Business reviews or other materials required by the management
  • Close cross-department cooperation with other shared services: Finance, Compensations, Pricing & Profitability, Commercial, Operations

Skills / Experience required:

  • Revenue orientated individual with good commercial acumen
  • Excellent analytical skills with advanced excel
  • Experience in writing SQL Queries (MS SQL Server and/or Oracle) and extracting large datasets
  • Ability to develop visualized data and create reports/dashboards in Excel, knowledge of dashboards creation inside PowerBI, Tableau as a plus
  • Ability to problem solve and to interpret business data
  • Demonstrate high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have proven experience of delivering analysis and reports under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Highly effective communicator – written and verbal - with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge and strong awareness of supply chain participants in the payments industry.
  • Ability to coach and support a growing team that operate across UK & Ireland, providing them with strategical information around current performance and future trends
  • The individual needs to be a dynamic self-starter, who thrives & functions with a high degree of autonomy & demonstrates an ability to be extremely versatile.
  • Readiness to travel to support meetings in UK & Ireland.
