Senior Build and Release Automation Engineer

Join the Adobe Digital Imaging group, the team behind world-class products Photoshop and Lightroom, as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Build and Release Automation. Our CI/CD team plays a pivotal role in enhancing developer productivity across the organization, accelerating the delivery of groundbreaking tools to our customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation in cloud-native development, scalable CI automation, and pipeline orchestration at scale. Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecting scalable pipeline orchestration solution ensuring reliability, usability and efficiency across diverse teams.
  • Design and implement cloud native automation solutions for streamlined build and release processes.
  • Develop and maintain CI automation pipelines for rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Enable robust pipeline authoring capabilities to empower developers with self-service tools.
  • Research and experiment with cutting-edge tools and technologies, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Ensure security and compliance of automation solutions by adhering to established guidelines and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain documentation for automation processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and build robust automation solutions.
  • Support software compilation and testing across macOS, Windows, and Linux pipelines.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 8+ years of large-scale software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale systems
  • 3+ years of object-oriented programming proficiency in Go, python or Java for building automation frameworks and solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in development with a focus on testing.
  • 2+ years of solid experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins,
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve pipeline and infrastructure issues.
  • Passion for tinkering with tools, exploring industry advancements, and applying innovative solutions.
  • Attention to detail and quick learning skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with customers and partners. We value team players who thrive in agile environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of Jenkins shared library and migrating/redesigning them in the context of GitHub actions.
  • Shipped several large-scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure automation.
  • Prefer to fix problems with technology rather than process.          

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,900 -- $242,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
