Job Description
BryceTech is currently looking for a Senior Biostatistician to support BARDA's mission in enhancing the nation's public health security and emergency preparedness by facilitating communication on innovative products and solutions between federal agencies and public stakeholders. This individual will be providing advanced statistical consulting and data analyses to BARDA clinical programs, and support project coordination teams and clinical studies as a subject matter expert.
The person in this role will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical advice to project coordination team on statistical methods and techniques for clinical studies.
- Participate in planning, design, development, and execution of clinical trial protocols.
- Develop and review statistical analysis plans for clinical studies.
- Consult with, and collaborate with, other scientists on study design, data analysis, and interpretation of study results.
- Conduct statistical simulations for evaluating novel clinical trial designs.
- Evaluate data quality, perform statistical edit checks of source data, and take appropriate actions to guide the resolution process.
- Produce and validate statistical analyses and outputs for clinical studies.
- Evaluate and ensure CDISC compliance of study tabulation and analysis data files.
- Write specifications and statistical programs to generate analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
- Develop and modify statistical programs to extract, integrate, and tabulate statistical data, and to apply statistical formulae.
- Identify and acquire data sources; evaluate the quality of data; identify potential data problems from analytic queries and consistency checks; convert the data into the most efficient computerized form; perform and document computer programming to implement the analysis.
- Prepare data transfer agreements and coordinate data transfer activities.
- Perform additional activities and duties as requested.
Qualifications
- PhD in Statistics, computer science or a related field
- 15+ years of experience
- Experience in randomized clinical trials
- Experience in both CRO and pharma preferred
- Strong programming skills in SAS and R
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
