About the Position:
As our Senior Billing Manager, you will utilize your experience in SaaS, Salesforce, and data informed insights in order to play a pivotal role in overseeing billing operations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and leadership skills to ensure efficient billing processes, accurate data management, and alignment with the needs of the business.
You will enhance and optimize the end-to-end billing process for our SaaS products, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and compliance with subscription-based billing models. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing Salesforce Billing implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales and customer success to design solutions that streamline billing processes and improve operational efficiency. You will leverage data analytics tools to develop and maintain billing dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights into billing performance, customer trends, and financial metrics. You will also identify opportunities to automate billing workflows, reduce errors, and accelerate billing cycles leveraging Salesforce functionalities.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Finance and will have 2 direct reports.
This is a remote role based in the United States. Please note: ChowNow is not eligible to employ in every state and the recruiting team will confirm location and eligibility before moving past initial stages.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
Within 30 Days You’ll:
- Progress through our Ramp Camp (ChowNow’s New Hire Onboarding Experience)
- Complete training with our IT Team and Accounting Team Leads; by the end of training you’ll be able to successfully navigate all internal tools, including Google Apps, Slack, Box, Salesforce, ChowNow Admin, NetSuite, Stripe, and SuiteSync
- Learn the customized processes in Salesforce, NetSuite, Stripe, and SuiteSync
- Familiarize yourself with QTC process for new subscriptions for both recurring and one-time products
- Familiarize yourself with the approval process for add-on subscriptions in Salesforce and the consequent actions to take in NetSuite
- Routinely interface with our Sales, Onboarding, and Client Performance departments to field questions from our customers
- Establish and begin holding weekly 1:1s with each of your direct reports
Within 60 Days You’ll:
- Learn to identify and record failed payments per our merchant processor and reflect in NetSuite
- Learn the ins and outs of our payment processors (Stripe)
- Be proactive in identifying billing issues or problematic accounts
- Become familiar with the intricacies of our more advanced customized processes in Salesforce, NetSuite, and Suite Billing; including amending and terminating existing subscriptions, subscription renewals, upgrades, and downgrades, and redistributing recognized revenue per deferred revenue waterfalls, and termination and cancellation processes
- Become well acquainted with the strengths of each of your direct reports and identified opportunities for improvement and professional development
Within 90 Days You’ll:
- Have increased the productivity of your team through hand-ons management and fostering a supportive work environment
- Implemented additional training and development programs for your direct reports
- Present plan to improve revenue, billing and collections processes. This could involve making adjustments to the plan based on the results of the changes
- Continue to track the results of the changes. This will help to ensure that the changes are having a sustained positive impact on revenue, billing and collection
- Start developing a plan for the next 90 days. This will help you to keep the momentum going and continue to improve revenue and billing
You Should Apply If You:
- Have at least 7 years of experience in billing or finance roles within SaaS companies
- Have a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position overseeing Salesforce Billing systems.
- Possess a demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce Billing and CRM platforms, with hands-on experience in system configuration and customization.
- Have strong analytical skills with expertise in tools such as SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Can speak in detail to a solid understanding of SaaS billing models, revenue recognition concepts, and subscription-based pricing strategies.
- Have a demonstrated ability to guide and develop teams, manage cross-functional projects, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
