Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
- An ATE Software Engineer will be a vital member of an exceptional, highly motivated team of wireless system engineers. Our mission is to deliver carrier-grade wireless equipment to customers across various verticals, ranging from Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) to Federal Governments. We seek candidates who firmly believe in Cambium’s mission of Connecting the Un-Connected and Under-Connected.
- The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of overall experience, with a significant focus on ATE Test Software Development. As an individual contributor, the candidate will play a crucial role in defining production test strategy and developing production test software.
- Designing and developing ATE test software for digital hardware and RF subsystems of wireless products.
- Creating test strategies and solutions for both DVT (Design Verification Testing) and production environments.
- Collaborating with hardware and firmware engineering leads to build robust manufacturing test fixtures, software frameworks, and factory workflows.
- Working closely with design engineers to develop DVT test suites and DVT test software.
- Working with manufacturing and design engineering personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions
- Analyzing and interpreting test data, preparing technical reports for engineering, manufacturing and management personnel.
- Collaborating with contract manufacturers for prototype and production builds, monitoring production yield, and recommending improvements to the production test environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Specific Knowledge/Skills
- Expertise with National Instruments TestStand (Labview a plus)
- Expertise with Python
- Familiarity with source code control.
- Automation and troubleshooting of rack instruments, including Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters (DMMs), Power supplies, Thermal Chambers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, RF power meters, GPS simulators, and PXI/PXIe Chassis.
- Should have experience of working with generic interfaces such as Ethernet ( MII, RGMII, SGMII), Power Supplies, SPI, I2C , RS232, RS485, UART, USB, GPIB
- Experience with relational database schema definition and query design/optimization
- Should have experience in working with factory to setup production test environment, debug, and troubleshoot problems related to yield.
- Should have knowledge of RF interfaces and RF measurement Instruments.
- Solid broad-based knowledge of analog, digital and RF circuits.
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and layouts a plus.
- Should have experience with commissioning test equipment and troubleshooting root causes for tester vs product issues
- Should be able to work as part of a Team and as an individual contributor with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Must maintain a high level of energy and positive attitude through challenging situations and project demands
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
- B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E in Electrical communication or related field from reputed institutions. Master’s degree preferred.
