Role Purpose and Summary

  • Provide support to NBD leadership and transaction teams through various stages of a transaction lifecycle from pre-qualification to submission and financial close; conduct thorough financial and market analysis to derive recommendations contributing towards decision-making

Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate banking​

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field​
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration is a plus​
  • CFA or equivalent certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities: Role Specific Technical Responsibilities

  • Transaction lifecycle support ​
  • Support the NBD senior team members in the origination phase, including the preparation of market trends analysis, support presentations for internal and external use, preparation and submission of Expressions of Interest, market sounding exercises and preparation and submission of Statements of Qualification​
  • Research and analyze potential partners at different levels of a PPP transaction i.e.: co-investors; EPC contractors; FM/OM partners, assessing technical capabilities, fitness for purpose & financials​
  • Work closely with the transaction lead through the various stages of project management including tender preparation and submission, negotiations, project award, commercial close and financial closure and any subsequent operational activities​
  • Support closely the transaction lead and collaborate with the various specialized teams engaged in the bid process, including those responsible for the technical, insurance, financial, legal, and maintenance workstreams; Own and lead partially, or in full, one or more of the workstreams to submit and close transaction deals, depending on the transaction​
  • Manage and lead the closing of the various due diligence processes involved in PPP deal transactions and sell/buy-side M&A transactions with different stakeholders i.e.: internal and external​
  • Prepare high-quality pitches and presentations and provide support to workstream leads on the preparation and negotiation of the various documents (e.g.: non-disclosure agreements; project documents; sponsors’ related documents; debt and equity funding related documents, contractual heads of terms, etc.)​
  • Collaborate and support the Project Companies on behalf of the Sponsors in any task related to the project (e.g.: modification of financial facilities, contract amendments, etc.) including coordination with relevant stakeholders​

  • Financial analysis​
  • Lead the completion of in-depth financial analysis and research of potential investment opportunities, including financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessment​
  • Manage and coordinate with financial advisor towards building PPP concession-based financial models from scratch for new projects and bids, including running the model for internal purposes​
  • Build and manage internal models (shadow financial models and cost models) towards building PPP concession-based models from scratch for new projects and bids, including running the model for internal purposes​
  • Support and coordinate the financial assessment of opportunities including returns, asset value, sensitivities, scenarios, deliverability and efficiency of tax, accounting and economic assumptions​
  • Maintain and work with the financial models of the portfolio companies to support project-specific corporate initiatives, and contractual modifications; assess investment feasibility and apply lessons learned from previous transactions by different deal teams​
