We are looking for Associate, Solution Engineering, who will work in partnership with other groups within the Western Union. In this unique role, you are part of the team which will be responsible for building and maintaining our next-generation software. As Senior Associate, you will be part of the team responsible for the implementation of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined framework.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create application deployment pipelines for services like ECS Fargate, EC2, and other AWS resources.
  • Help develop, manage, and monitor continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CloudBees.
  • Design and Build CD pipelines using Spinnaker, Ansible.
  • Artifacts management using Jfrog Artifactory
  • Knowledge of applying Quality checks using SonarQube, Checkmarx, Xray.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages - python, groovy, shell scripts.
  • Collaborate with software developers, QA specialists, and other team members to ensure timely and successful delivery of new software releases.
  • Deploy updates and fixes and provide responsive support as needed.
  • Work closely with other DevOPS engineers, operations, and developers to port pipelines to WU 2.0 framework and then further mature the pipelines.
  • Engage with the team to optimize CICD pipelines to bring in automated quality gates.
  • Working on ways to automate and improve deployment and release processes.
  • Work on Infrastructure-level and other automations

Role Requirements

  • In this crucial role you will need 4+ years of good hands-on experience in industry standard DevOPS tools, automation, CI/ CD tools like Cloudbees Jenkins and Spinnaker.
  • Hands-on experience on automation tools like Ansible.
  • Good hands-on experience of cloud engineering preferably in AWS and containers.
  • Good understanding of GIT branching models and all phases of software product lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience in various deployment strategies such as Blue/Green and Canary will be a plus.
  • Be able to use RestAPI, groovy, Python, and yaml.
  • Familiarity with software security tools.
  • Preferably you would have AWS Associate level certification.
  • Any DevOps related certifications and trainings.
  • Good Problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and collaborative approachKnowledge of architecture design concepts, object-oriented design, and techniques
  • Knowledge of logical and physical database architectures and operating systems
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.
  • Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Payments domain.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with partners globally.
