Octane® is revolutionizing recreational purchases by delivering a seamless, end-to-end digital buying experience. We connect people with their passions by combining cutting-edge technology and innovative risk strategies to make lifestyle purchases - like powersports vehicles, RVs, and OPE - fast, easy, and accessible.

Octane adds value throughout the customer journey: inspiring enthusiasts with our editorial brands, including Cycle World® and UTV Driver®, instantly prequalifying consumers for financing online, routing customers to dealerships for an easy closing, and supporting customers throughout their loan with superior loan servicing.

Founded in 2014, we’re a company with 550+ employees and over 30 OEM and 4,000 dealer partners.

As a Senior Associate on the newly formed captive lending team, you will be joining-in on the ground floor of Octane’s newest business unit. This function is mission critical to our success as we continue to build deeper enterprise relationships with our large dealer group and OEM partners. In your work at Octane you will develop models and scenario analysis to estimate portfolio performance for our captive lending partnerships. Specifically, you will forecast the economics for novel loss sharing and participation structures, and coordinate closely with our capital markets team to model the impact of ABS issuances on our programs. You will also assist with developing financial reporting materials and profitability analysis for both internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in the role, you will need to be comfortable with a high degree of autonomy, and be excited by the prospect of bringing new deal structures to life. You will also need a high level of detail orientation to operationalize the models you build with our capital markets, financial operations, legal, and credit teams. This is a high growth role that will report into the Senior Vice President of Captive Lending.

  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support discussions with OEMs and dealership groups
  • Build financial reporting for partners to track monthly fund flows and distributions
  • Collaborate with financial operations to develop a consistent invoicing process for the program
  • Develop pitch materials in conjunction with the sales team
  • Assist with partner Q/A on transactions
  • Coordinate with the finance team on all ABS structuring assumptions for captive partnerships
  • Check that transactions and monthly reporting are executed correctly, collaborating with our financial operations, product, and technology teams to do so
  • Support profitability tracking and market analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar discipline or equivalent relevant experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of financial modeling experience at a consumer lender or investment bank
  • Capital markets transaction experience
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Excel
  • Familiarity with building models from scratch
  • Willingness to constantly learn and iterate
  • Scrappy working style, undeterred by limited resources when solving problems
  • Strong cross-functional coordinator

Compensation: The role described above offers a base salary of $120,000 to $140,000.  Your offer will be based on the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job, location and internal equity.  In addition to the above-mentioned salary, Total Rewards include a corporate bonus program, stock option package, and benefits as outlined below.

Benefits:

  • Robust Health Care Plans (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Generous Parental Leave
