This is an exciting opportunity for a talented marketing professional to join the Capital One Brand Agency Relations team as a Senior Associate. In this role, the new associate will be responsible for supporting the Brand Agency Relations team key initiatives as well as sourcing and managing top market research agencies used by the Brand department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how to develop great partnerships and manage performance while demonstrating a passion for building industry connections to uncover tools and insights for the benefit of our internal customers.
What you'll do

• Serve as relationship manager for market research partners who support enterprise marketing needs
• Support sourcing initiatives and major projects for the Brand Planning and Insights teams
• Provide communication and reporting for accountable executives, Brand senior leadership, and key agency stakeholders
• Lead Brand Agency Relations team operations and find efficiencies through new tools and processes
• Partner with agency roster and beacon brands to gather insights that drive business value to Capital One and advance Brand's agendas
• Create internal and external best practices in collaboration with other Brand teams or internal stakeholders
• Demonstrate the ability to grow and maintain relationships with internal teams and agency partners
• Collect and analyze performance feedback for managed agencies to frame up development opportunities and to celebrate successes
• Collect and analyze agency rate cards to ensure accurate benchmarking and obtain the best pricing
• Develop solid understanding of the financial services competitive category, stay current with marketing trends and identify opportunity areas

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
• At least 1 year of marketing experience
• At least 3 years of experience in relationship management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Creative, or Communications
• At 5 years of experience in relationship management at an agency
• Passion for marketing, creativity, brand building, and the growing social media and sponsorship landscapes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on active listening and negotiation
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on distilling key insights and opportunities

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Associate, Brand
New York, NY: $103,200 - $117,800 for Sr. Associate, Brand
Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Brand
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
