The Role:

Arine is seeking an experienced Senior API Testing Engineer to join our QA team. This role will involve both manual and automated API testing, as well as functional and user acceptance testing. The responsibilities include preparing test cases, testing data and test conditions, executing test cases, capturing and reporting results using approved tracking tools, managing defects from inception to resolution, and coordinating user acceptance testing activities with product owners.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions with the development team and product owners
  • Work with the development team and stakeholders to define test scenarios
  • Create functional automated tests to maximize application test coverage
  • Create tests for measuring application performance
  • Perform API testing using the tools like Postman or SoapUI 
  • Testing AWS Lambda functions, including event-driven testing and integration with other AWS services (e.g., API Gateway, S3)
  • Solid knowledge of API protocols, request/response formats, and authentication methods
  • Develop automation scripts for API testing using Selenium and other frameworks
  • Work on a cross functional team to integrate a continuous testing pipeline using Jenkins

Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and/or development
  • 2+ years of experience on AWS stack
  • 2+ years of experience on creating and maintain the automation framework for API testing 
  • Software development/scripting skills in Py
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and their services related to API development and testing 
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Pytest
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases 
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation of APIs using SOAPUI/Rest Assured or other API automation frameworks
  • Experience working with Jenkins to build CI/CD pipeline
  • Excellent software troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with product and development teams to ensure the highest test coverage possible

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $115,000-125,000/year.
