Make Your Mark:
The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for tracking and resolving customer payment issues with speed and consistency through excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. Researches, supports, and resolves complex customer payment issues directly. Provides guidance to junior team members to solve for moderately complex issues. Train team members on Cash Application and provides shoulder to shoulder training for new team members on general BlackLine collection processed. Leads assigned department level projects working with cross functional stakeholders to continuously improve and/or transform business processes.
You'll Get To:
- Investigate and resolve customer queries through daily collection calls, emails, and documentation
- Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
- Carry out collection activities according to specific deadlines
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
- Review and report on AR aging to ensure compliance
- Recommend collection process improvements, document approved changes, trains team members follow established procedures for processing payments.
- Reviews the work of others to ensure proper supporting documentation before payment application to customer accounts
- Train new and existing team members on business systems used in the collection process
- Take the lead on assigned projects
- Provide guidance and help less experienced team members solve for moderately complex issues
What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field: At least 5 years Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate with others and multi-task effectively
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and regimented in approach to ensure completeness and accuracy of work product
- Must work in an efficient manner and translate direction into action, without requiring step-by-step direction
- Proven ability to perform and deliver work in a timely manner under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required
- College level courses in Accounting or directly related field
We're Even More Excited If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with systems and automated applications, SaaS experience preferred
- Proficiency with various accounting software tools. NetSuite, Salesforce and Zuora highly preferred
