Job Description
As Checkout.com grows, we are seeking a Senior Analyst, Reconciliations to join our Product Control team within the Finance organization. This new role will support trading activity reconciliation to ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strengthening our Accounting operations, improving the quality of balance sheet reporting, and standardising and automating reconciliations.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Analyse and reconcile data from various systems to identify control gaps and reconciliation breaks.
- Collaborate with Billing, Revenue, Product Control, and other Finance teams to investigate discrepancies, understand root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform Business as Usual (BAU) reconciliation processes and controls across Billing, Revenue, and Cost of Sales balance sheets.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reconciliations, applying accounting knowledge to ensure balances are properly accounted for.
- Continuously improve data integrity, automation, controls, and operational and reporting efficiency.
- Participate in project work and product development initiatives.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of accounting operations experience, including accounting and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) with balance sheet reconciliations in a high-volume transaction environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, data modelling, and ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, or SAP
- Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, NetSuite) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets and complex financial reports.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working in a dynamic and complex regulatory environment, ideally within Payments/FinTech or Financial Services.
