Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Managing Data Dashboards
- Develop reports, dashboards, and advanced visualizations using Power BI / Tableau. Works closely with the product managers, business analysts, clients etc. to understand the needs / requirements and develop visualizations needed.
- Provide support to existing dashboards while recommending best practices and leading projects to implement new functionality.
- Learn and develop new visualization techniques as required to keep up with the contemporary visualization design and presentation .
Functional Data Support
- Reviews the solution requirements with the functional areas and architecture to ensure selection of appropriate technology , efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology.
- Collaborate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure standards are met. Recommend new standards for visualizations .
Build Data Dashboards
- Use Power Query for data transformation and manipulation.
- Write advanced DAX formulas for complex business calculations.
- Implement dimensional modelling (star schema) for efficient data organization.
- Manage semantic models' data refreshes.
- Implement Power BI Row Level Security (RLS) to provide data access based on user roles.
- Create and manage dataflows to automate data updates. Write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Strategic Support
- Advising on new technology trends and possible adoption to maintain competitive advantage
Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to employees on process improvement tools and techniques.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and team members on data methodologies.
Stakeholder Management:
- Support presentations to Customers and Partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance improvement efforts.
