At Weights & Biases, our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code, there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. Starting with our first experiment tracking product, we have since expanded our solution into a comprehensive AI developer platform for organizations focused on building their own deep learning models and generative AI applications.

Weights & Biases is a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees. We proudly serve over 1,000 customers and more than 30 foundation model builders including customers such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota.

We’re hiring a Senior AI Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales (EMEA) to help prospective customers evaluate and adopt Weights & Biases for their machine learning and AI workflows.

In this role, you’ll work with leading ML and Generative AI teams across EMEA, solving complex challenges in computer vision, robotics, NLP, and LLMs. You’ll lead technical evaluations, deliver high-impact demonstrations, and drive successful proof-of-values by aligning Weights & Biases with customer needs. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll engage with both technical teams and executives, translating AI/ML capabilities into real business value and guiding prospects through the decision-making process.

As part of our Field Engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering, serving as the primary technical point of contact during pre-sales engagements. You’ll influence AI adoption strategies, provide critical insights that shape our product roadmap, and play a key role in closing high-value enterprise deals. This role is perfect for a seasoned ML/AI expert who excels in customer engagement, thrives on solving real-world AI challenges, and is passionate about accelerating AI innovation across EMEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Master the implementation of effective, robust, and reproducible machine learning pipelines using Weights & Biases tools, ensuring seamless integration into customer workflows.
  • Partner closely with customers and prospects to understand their ML/AI challenges, define success criteria, and serve as their trusted technical advisor throughout the evaluation process.
  • Effectively communicate best practices for instrumenting machine learning pipelines, ensuring customers maximize the value of Weights & Biases in their AI development.
  • Deliver engaging product demos and hands-on workshops, demonstrating how Weights & Biases solves real-world ML challenges and enabling customers to achieve technical success.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to develop and refine processes for key pre-sales activities, including proof of values (PoVs), demos, and technical deep dives.
  • Collaborate with Support, Product, and Engineering teams to provide customer-driven insights, influencing the product roadmap and driving continuous improvements.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a senior-level customer-facing technical role (Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, ML Engineer, MLOps, or AI/ML Consultant).
  • Proven ability to lead and drive complex technical evaluations (PoVs, large-scale demos, workshops) for enterprise AI/ML customers.
  • Deep expertise in Python, with hands-on experience in TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch Lightning and advanced ML model lifecycle best practices.
  • Exceptional ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders, translating ML/AI value into business impact.
  • Strategic advisory experience, helping customers architect ML workflows and drive AI adoption.
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and shaping best practices in pre-sales.
  • Cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with experience in architecting scalable ML solutions.
  • Proven success managing multiple high-value enterprise engagements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Strong Plus:

  • Expertise in Generative AI & LLMs (Hugging Face, OpenAI, fine-tuning, prompt engineering).
  • Experience leading AI/ML solution design for large-scale enterprise customers.
  • Deep MLOps & LLMOps knowledge, advising customers on best practices for production AI.
  • Proficiency in ML infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, distributed training, data pipelines).
  • Strong technical enablement background, including running AI/ML workshops and training programs.
  • Fluency in French or German to support enterprise customers across EMEA.

  • 🩺 Medical, Dental, and Vision for employees and Family Coverage
  • 🏠 Remote first culture with in-office flexibility in San Francisco
