The Senior Advisor, Field Operations plays a key role in executing operational tasks related to auction sales, arbitration negotiations, lien releases, asset transport, and cost approvals. This position requires strong coordination skills and industry knowledge to help optimize asset recovery and remarketing efforts. Working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and industry partners, the role ensures efficient processes and effective decision-making to maximize recovery values.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Operations & Asset Recovery:
- Analyze impound notices and assist in negotiating release terms to minimize costs and accelerate vehicle recovery.
- Evaluate and process repair requests from auctions and third-party vendors to align with remarketing strategies.
- Assist in managing field operation cases, including low-balance account reviews, high-cost recovery scenarios, and repossession escalations.
- Work with repair facilities to assess mechanical repair needs and approve necessary work.
- Investigate disputes related to vehicle condition, repair estimates, and arbitration claims.
- Maintain active communication with external agents, internal teams, and service providers to ensure smooth asset retrieval and processing.
Auction & Lien Management:
- Assist in managing auction sales by coordinating asset distribution and optimizing resale performance.
- Support arbitration negotiations by gathering relevant information and facilitating dispute resolution related to repair costs, vehicle condition, and title discrepancies.
- Process lien releases for remarketed vehicles while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Work with third parties to resolve financial institution claims, government liens, and security interests.
- Review and approve minor repair expenses and key replacements at auctions to enhance asset value.
- Oversee transportation logistics for repossessed assets, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with auction partners, vendors, and internal teams to streamline remarketing processes and resolve disputes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in asset recovery, remarketing, or field operations within the automotive finance, lending, or collections industry.
- Strong knowledge of auction processes, repossession procedures, lien resolution, and asset disposition.
- Experience with arbitration negotiations and mechanical repair cost approvals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with repossession, remarketing, and title processing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
