As a Senior Account Manager Buying Groups, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding relationships with key accounts within the Rayon South Netherlands region, which includes South Holland, Utrecht, Limburg, North Brabant, and Zeeland—essentially everything south of the rivers. The region spans from West to East Netherlands at the level of Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Nijmegen.

Your primary focus will be on maximizing regional sales results (sell-through turnover) for the Home Appliances department, adhering to company guidelines and targets. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will implement strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve exceptional results, ensuring strong and lasting partnerships with key accounts within the Buying Groups channel.

Key Responsibilities
(Sr.) Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Buying Group accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
  • Develop strategic (annual) and tactical (quarterly) business plans to identify and capitalize on business opportunities, such as new product launches, end-of-life product transitions, and new retail openings.
  • Support and visit active accounts, negotiate deals, and ensure the availability of the right product mix according to company guidelines.
  • Represent Samsung at events and account meetings, providing product information, delivering sales floor training, and fostering strong partnerships.

Reports & Analyses

  • Create clear sales reports (quarterly and yearly) to track progress, forecast future sales, and provide insights into the sales process.
  • Analyze sell-through data, market competition, and marketing information to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor and address aging stock and invoices, ensuring an ongoing analysis of in-house share by account.

Marketing/Brand Awareness

  • Propose and execute sales actions and marketing initiatives to promote Samsung products and enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with customers to translate marketing strategies into actionable plans, leveraging customer-specific insights.

Internal Communication

  • Collaborate efficiently with internal teams, including sales, marketing, logistics, credit & collection, and customer service, to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in internal sales meetings and cross-departmental initiatives.

Budget Management

  • Ensure that allocated budgets are utilized effectively on agreed-upon activities in line with company guidelines.

We also request:

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in direct sales, either as a Sales Representative or Account Manager.
  • A successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences, Higher Vocational Education (HBO), or an equivalent qualification
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English
  • A proactive and flexible attitude to excel in a fast-paced setting.
  • you are expected to spend at least 4 days on the road visiting clients and 1 day in the office.
