Who You Are
Spot & Tango is looking for an Senior Accounting Associate to join our NY HQ team! In this role, you will play a key role in the day to day financial operations of the company. This position involves assisting with the preparation of financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers
- Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring collections are timely and following up on overdue accounts Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports and ensure accurate reflection of cash balances
- Monitor and track employee company card expenses
- Gather and organize documents for tax preparation, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations
- Maintain and update financial records in Netsuite
- Provide support to Controller with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
- Assist accounting and finance team members with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably a similar role
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Excel. Experience with ERP software (Netsuite preferred) and AP processing (Stampli preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dog lovers a plus!
This is a hybrid position. You must be able to commute into our office in Midtown Manhattan Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Hybrid Workspace
Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
Our hybrid policy requires employees to work in-person at our New York office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees are able to work from home on Tuesday and Friday.
