Job Summary
We are seeking an accounting staff member that would provide accounting support to the Global Accounting Manager. Weekly and Monthly reconciliations of liability accounts will be necessary to ensure the integrity of the balance sheet. This role will work with different team members around the global and will meet with this individuals regularly, requiring flexible hours. The person filling this role would also be responsible for Inter-company transactions across multiple entities. Looking for someone that can be flexible and take on new projects as needed.
What you will do
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts
- Become an expert in the company’s accounting system (Netsuite)
- Provide explanations for monthly variances on specific accounts
- Contribute to and improve account reconciliations
- Improve accounting processes
- Perform all month-end close activities as assigned
- Prepare for and complete documentation for external auditors
- Work independently to answer questions from other finance professionals
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Performing other accounting duties
What you will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with month-end close processes
- Experience with NetSuite
- Highly organized and great at tracking and meeting deadlines
- Dedicated to high quality results and finding solutions
- Excellent skill with Excel and other common computer applications
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Nice to have
- Professional certification a plus (CPA/CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar)
- Exposure to multi-national companies
- Experience with NetClose or other accounting close software
- Experience with FAM module in NetSuite
- Knowledge of ASC 842
