For our growing financial department we are currently looking for Senior Accountant.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be the focal point for finance and accounting activities in the country working closely with our internal stakeholders to manage the general accounting activities, financial reporting, auditing, tax, and other ad hoc duties.
For the position, we are looking for an experienced accountant with some experience working for a similar international organization. Fluency in English is essential to the role and a proactive approach to take the initiative and drive the accounting activities. Previous experience with Italian market would be beneficial.

Tasks and Qualifications:Your Responsibility:

Manage General Ledger activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes.

Oversee the monthly closing activities by coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Supervise the activities of our external shared service centre to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Support the Finance Manager with Corporate compliance controls and ensure adherence to internal control standards.

Assist with Accounts Payable activities by improving processes for managing vendor invoices and payments.
-
Maintain administrative procedures with insurance companies, banks, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Actively support and participate in internal and third-party audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Liaise with the tax advisor for accurate and timely tax declarations and forms.
Your Skills and Expertise:
-
Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant financial discipline.

At least 5 years of experience in finance/accounting and within an international organisation.

Experience in roles that require process improvements and delivery of results.

Knowledge of IFRS standards
-
Proven knowledge of corporate tax-related topics and analytical skills

Good knowledge of SAP ERP tools. Knowledge of SAP S/4Hana is a plus.

Fluent in English, Italian knowledge is a plus.

Very good communication skills and ability to work autonomously on defined tasks.
