About the role
Crunchtime is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented, technical Senior Accountant responsible for executing semi-monthly and monthly payroll across multiple entities in the US, Australia, Mexico, the UK, and Europe. This role involves responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns, collaborating with HR on onboarding and offboarding activities, and assisting the Accounting Manager with monthly close and consolidation tasks for the Mexico entity along with annual projects such as annual income tax reporting, transfer pricing, and profit sharing.
What you'll do as a Senior Accountant
- Execute semi-monthly and monthly payroll across multiple entities in the US, Australia, Mexico, UK, and Europe.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
- Work closely with HR to assist with on-boarding and off-boarding activities related to payroll.
- Assist the accounting manager with monthly tasks related to closing and consolidating the Mexico entity.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to execute annual projects and filing requirements, including Profit Sharing, annual income reporting, and Transfer Pricing.
- Develop, implement, and document new policies and procedures to enhance controls and processes within the department and company.
- Provide accounting support to other departments for special projects/ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with SAAS.
- Proven experience in payroll management across multiple countries.
- Experience working with Mexico Tax and Social Security authorities and matters (SAT, IMMS, ISN, ISTP, ISR).
- Rippling experience is desired.
- Netsuite experience is desired.
- Experience managing external partners.
- Strong, independent work ethic and values.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience in effectively communicating financial information to key stakeholders. Strong bilingual skills (written and verbal) in English and Spanish.
- Proven ability to implement scalable processes and systems in a high-growth corporate environment.
- Strong execution capability, a can-do attitude, and the ability to shift priorities quickly and effectively.
- Demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility.
Nice to haves
- CPA and/or Big 4 experience
- Experience in calculating payroll taxes, state taxes, social security contributions, and termination payments in Mexico is preferred.
- Experience with US companies and command of GAAP reporting requirements is a plus.
