JOB DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis to ensure that financial reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Assists with general ledger entry into accounting software for month and year end close.

Performs bank reconciliation of agency operating accounts on a daily and monthly basis. Provides account coding for various transactions, performs research and follow up as required.

Performs expense trend analysis and financial projections as needed.

Prepares general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly, proposes entries to reconcile as needed.

Performs auditing of account coding accuracy, performs reclassifications as necessary.

Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as assigned. Reports include:

o Tangible tax returns

o 990 tax schedules

o Annual unclaimed property filing
-
o Pharmacy inventory
-
o Medicare Cost report preparation
-
o Worker’s Compensation
-
o Unemployment reporting and reconciliation
-
o Fixed asset reconciliation and reporting, includes capital project tracking

o Various annual financial audit schedules as assigned
-
o Pinnacle Plaza Condominium financial reporting
-
o Other reports as needed
-
Learns various finance functions and supports department back-up of these critical functions.

Assists with annual agency budget preparation as needed.

Assists with various external audits as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.

Strong accounting/systems skills including accounting principles, financial analysis, and common accounting terminology.

Must be well organized.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with creativity and vision.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both finance and operations teams.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
Bachelor's degree required.
Years of Experience
A minimum of 5 years of related experience in general ledger systems and accounting background.

What We Do
Centerstone is a not-for-profit health system providing mental health and substance use disorder treatments.
