Role Summary
This role will be an integral part in the Corporate Accounting SEC reporting team and be responsible for quarterly 10Q/10K reporting, as well as monthly accounting for the parent companies.
Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for certain US GAAP financial reporting activities for The Cigna Group, including disclosures supporting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Ensure satisfaction of disclosure requirements listed per GAAP Disclosure Checklist.
- Support monthly close for the parent companies.
- Participate in special projects such as the implementation of new technology, adoption of new accounting guidance and associated restatement of prior period financials, etc.
- Support SOX compliance and external audit processes.
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred
- Prior experience in public and/or corporate accounting
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt
- Attention to details
- Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
