Account Manager and/or Senior Account Manager
Manages sales of the company's products and services in a specified area inclusive of account names & geographical area. Establish effective communications with, clients, prospects, appropriate executives and managers within Tastepoint.
Manages sales of the company's products and services in a specified area inclusive of account names & geographical area. Establish effective communications with, clients, prospects, appropriate executives and managers within Tastepoint.
Manages an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate and individual goals & objectives:
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products.
- Request or coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales.
Establishes and manages effective programs to address the following issues:
- New account sales and growth within existing clients.
- Sales of emerging products and multi-product sales.
- Improved seminar presentations.
- Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns.
- Proper use and level of sales support.
- Management of expenses of the area at a reasonable level.
- Business/financial issues on contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent knowledge of company's products, pricing practices, and selling skills.
- Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, human relations, presentation and organization skills.
- Professional appearance and presentation required.
EDUCATION/ TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Food Science
- Typically requires 7 or more years of experience in sales.
- Valid Driver’s License
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- General office environment.
- Extensive travel required, 50% of the time.
- Ability to sit in a car for up to six hours.
- Capable of carrying containers up to 50 lbs.
- PCs and various software applications.
- Heavy telephone usage.
