Job Description
The Mission
The Service Sales Manager supports the Semiconductor Support Operation by owning the sale of service solutions within Europe and ensures timely, profitable and value based service products are in place to cover the installed base of Thermo Fisher electron microscopes.
The Position
This role will partner with the Product Account Managers to sell service with new equipment sales. You will also own the sales directly influencing the adoption of our innovative service portfolios with our post-warranty conversions as well as annual contract renewals. The Service Sales manager will partner in the analysis and messaging closely with the Regional Service Managers and Service Administrative team to ensure detailed coverage of all sales and renewal opportunities.
Core Function:
Owning the Service Sales process to ensure the timely and profitable sale of Service Solutions within the regional installed base. The Service Sales Manager’s performance will be measured on the total contract sales volume, contract penetration, contract profitability as well as adoption of value based services.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales motion from initial customer contact through to regular, balanced service contract support for the lifetime of the product.
- Work closely with the Regional Service manager to ensure maximum and growing Contract Sales Revenue and Margin.
- Partner with Service Marketing to ensure effective product offerings and sales tools.
- Operate as contracts owner for the region and will assist the entire team with using effective sales approaches
- Become the main contact and leading influence for the Service Sales function within the Sales and Service Division.
- Partner and coordinate with between customer & colleagues on Service Sales issues and development.
- Report on the Service Sales metrics and targets within the team on all appropriate occasions and meetings.
Qualifications:
- University degree
- 5-8 years of (Service) Sales experience in high tech / capital intensive industries
- Experience in sales of service contracts and/or products where the service component was a major aspect of the total value proposition
- Demonstrated track record of collaboration within a complex organization
- Excellent sales, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Experience with presenting to high level corporate buyers and/or academic customers
- Ability to travel to customer sites within the EMEA
- Excellent teammate that can also work independently
- Strong communication and inter-cultural skills
