We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager with a strong background in Automotive sales to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key accounts, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills who can understand client needs and deliver solutions that align with our software offerings. The Senior Account Manager will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and ensuring long-term customer success.
What you’ll do:
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed annual sales targets while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
- Lead Qualification & Pipeline Management: Identify, qualify, and manage sales leads, ensuring a robust and healthy sales revenue pipeline.
- Sales & Business Planning: Develop and execute sales and business plans to achieve annual objectives, providing accurate and timely reports and forecasts to the leadership team.
- Prospecting & Customer Acquisition: Identify and qualify potential customers, actively penetrate targeted prospects to expand the customer base.
- Team Selling & Collaboration: Develop a team-selling approach, acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams, including pre-sales technical specialists, inside sales, and customer service.
- Account Expansion: Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within existing accounts, driving increased sales and market share.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and other sales teams to align on strategies, maximize profitability, and ensure product-market fit.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify challenges and opportunities.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales data, generate reports to track progress, and present insights to internal stakeholders for strategic decision-making.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Manage negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract renewals, focusing on building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Customer Support: Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
What you should know:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in a B2B environment or with a focus on selling to Automotive OEMs.
- Deep relationship with Procurement and Engineering leadership teams at Automotive OEMs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Required domestic/international travel to customer locations as needed.
- Understanding of the industry and market trends. Experience in automotive, SaaS, and B2B is a plus.
- Nice to have experience in working on Software Engineering projects in the Auto industry working with OEMs.
