Job Description Summary:

Rocket Software is seeking a highly motivated Sales professional to join our Mainframe Modernization professional services sales team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and help our clients transform their legacy mainframe systems into modern, cloud-based platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Selling professional consulting services around moving mainframe based workload/applications to Cloud platforms to provide expert advisory and technical integration services that maximize customer ROI with our products. 
  • Developing a long-term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share in specialized areas.
  • Use expertise to seek out new opportunities for value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities.
  • Work in conjunction with our partners to sell our values at a max into the modernization projects.
  • Work with new and existing customers to set the direction for business development and solution replication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in Account Executive, or Business Development role
  • Strong knowledge of Modernization software products and services, solutions, or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings.
  • Consultative solution selling and business development skills to align the client's business needs with the solution.
  • Leadership and initiative to drive services and sales in accounts prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Strategic planning skills on a business development level; ability to build an effective business case reflecting the value of appropriate strategy.
  • Experience partnering with license or Account Management teams to build an effective account plan and strategy to drive incremental revenue in account.
  • Knowledge of mainframe architecture and software.

This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the company’s plan
