NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Coordinator, Diversity & Inclusion based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.
The Senior Coordinator, Diversity & Inclusion manages, coordinates and executes programs, relationships/partnerships within the company's Diversity & Inclusion department.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage NASCAR’s internal and external acknowledgement and celebration of key moments throughout the year. This includes, but is not limited to at-track activations, digital recognition, and in-office programming. .
- Build and strengthen local and national industry and advocacy partnerships.
- Lead department activations and cross-departmental opportunities that align with department goals.
- Create content for department website, and social media outreach.
- Develop tools to evaluate the effectiveness of the department’s social and digital outreach.
- Provide expertise for, coordinate, and execute activations, outreach, and initiatives.
- Demonstrate a high level of positive and constructive communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as NASCAR D&I representative at meetings, presentations, banquets, receptions, ceremonies, conferences, conventions, seminars, tournaments, races, and other events in conjunction with our diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
- Execution of department events as needed including the development of content for meetings and conferences.
- Track Activation Support – credentials, golf carts, parking and access stickers, suite requests, etc.
- Approximate travel 30% including some weekends.
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Sports Management preferred and a minimum of 4 (four) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in sports/sports management preferred.
- Speaking and writing in Spanish are a plus, though not a requirement.
- Proficient with Company-provided hardware and software. Familiarity with Microsoft and/or Apple products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project preferred.
- Decision-making, resource management, customer service, administrative, organizational, negotiation skills, and time management.
- Advocacy of, and in-depth understanding of diversity issues.
The compensation range for this position is:
$50,000 - $60,000
