Job Description

Purpose

The Security Engineer is a member of the global team of highly qualified/expert Engineers in data center technologies including all of Storage, Server and systems management. Security Engineering focuses on security aspects in the design of systems that need to be able to deal robustly with possible sources of disruption, ranging from natural disasters to malicious acts. To support the delivery of engineering solutions that satisfy functional and user requirements, but with the added dimension of preventing misuse and malicious behavior.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Implementation and Administration/IT Operation:
  • Endpoint/Extended Detection and Response (EDR/XDR) solutions.
  • Microsoft Defender (for Endpoint, Cloud, Identity, Cloud Apps, Office 365).
  • Sophos Intercept X (EDR/XDR) and Sophos SG/XG Firewall.
• Standardization and Automation of workflows using appropriate scripting tools.
• Planning, Design, and Execution of commissioning and operation for EDR/XDR solutions.
• Handling and execution of complex assignments.
• Assisting in the preparation of decision-making templates and concepts.
• Installing and maintaining associated tools.
• Developing and planning service concepts.
• Managing order processing.
• Ensuring adherence to agreed service levels.
• Creating documentation.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• Hold a Master’s or Diplom degree with adequate professional experience or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Have at least five years of professional experience, with a minimum of three years in IT administration.
• Possess solid practical experience in the security domain with EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., MS Defender, Sophos Intercept X).
• Have practical experience with Microsoft and Linux infrastructure services.
• Demonstrate expertise in M365 or Azure Security, including Identity & Access, Endpoint-, Information-, Threat- & Network-Protection, and Risk & Compliance, particularly in operating hybrid Azure and on-premises solutions.
• Ideally, have practical experience with Zero Trust architectures.
• Have experience working with proxy solutions.
• Hold technical certifications such as Microsoft Security SC-200, SC-400, SC-900, or Sophos Certified Technician.
• Exhibit strong customer-oriented thinking and actions.
• Work in an analytical, systematic, and structured manner.
• Show high levels of flexibility, resilience, and motivation.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Have strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
• Demonstrate advanced technical expertise in the target areas of responsibility, along with good knowledge of related technologies.
• Display strong cooperation, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
• Have excellent English language skills.

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1300 € /brutto.
