As a Secondary Market Research Senior Consultant you will be part of IQVIA’s global 82000 employees strong technology team based in Bangalore/ Gurugram/ Pune which helps life sciences companies to accelerate innovation to make greater impact on human health. Role Purpose:
Deliver strategy/management consulting projects including – Market Assessments, basic forecasting, data Analytics, strategic market reviews, Go-To-Market (GTM), competitive profiling and analysis, pharma industry analysis etc.
The role additionally requires problem solving skills along with integrated desk research including epidemiology studies, quantitative analysis using IQVIA data assets, storyboarding, stakeholder and project management, business development support, people management, process improvement etc.
Operational Responsibilities
o Background and experience with Market Assessments, Basic Forecasting, Data Analytics (Power BI) and good quant aptitude and intensive knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Life sciences sector
o Candidate will be responsible to assist in commercial due diligences for local pharma clients and basic forecasting skills
o Help in business plan development for pharma candidates
o Perform extensive analysis/research to build a detailed understanding of the target market, company or opportunity as per client problem statement
§ Source information based on specific client requirements through secondary research and IQVIA data sources
o Integrate qualitative and quantitative data and present the analysis in a structured manner; bring out value-added insights to the clients
o Undertake market analysis to include details on the market characteristics (market size and growth, prescriptions, days of therapy, patient types, market share, number of competitors, market trends, market attractiveness); competitor characteristics (product characteristics, competitor marketing strategies, sales force activities, pricing analysis); prescriber characteristics (number of prescribers by specialty, physician prescription activity, desires and unmet needs) etc.
o Deliver high quality, client-ready output with minimal supervision; identify risks / issues and escalate to the project leads in a timely manner
o Willingness to work as a dedicated FTE for business units like Middle East, Southeast Asia
Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge Required
- Graduate/Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences from a premier institute
- 8 to 11 years of experience in direct client facing role within Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology/ Consulting/ Professional Services Outsourcing company
- Possess demonstrated hands on expertise in one or more practice areas
- Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills

- Able to structure project research approach leveraging cross IQVIA resources and extract key learning’s independently

- Strong grasp of research methodologies and their merits/shortcomings
- Should be able to conceptualize new ideas for research and give shape to them
- High sensitivity to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders across the globe
- Strong interpretation and analytical skills with a knack for structured thinking
- Highly articulate with excellent presentation skills (especially PowerPoint)
- Understanding of global healthcare environment
- High consciousness towards attention to detail; drive and commitment towards delivering high quality work
- Self-motivated, with strong work ethics; proactive in identifying issues and opportunities and delivering insightful solutions
- Adaptability and resilience to work constructively under pressure
