Elevate K-12 is a Series C funded, rapidly growing start-up focused on solving the teacher shortage crisis in US K-12 schools. We are transforming the way classrooms work with live, virtual instruction, giving students access to high-quality, certified teachers who help them prepare for the future. Our proprietary platform and curriculum enable teachers to deliver live remote instruction across multiple subjects in elementary, middle, and high schools across the US.

On the heels of a Series C funding led by General Catalyst, Elevate K-12 is enjoying strong business momentum, with revenue growing at 100% y-o-y and plans to double again next year. To continue this momentum, we are investing in building a strong product and technology function to power the next generation of solutions for students, teachers, and schools/districts. The Elevate Software Engineering team is delivering cutting-edge educational software at an enterprise scale, ensuring seamless consumer-grade experiences that support our mission.
Your Mission:
As a Fullstack Software Engineer (SDE I) at Elevate K-12, you will play a critical role in building the next generation of our tech-enabled education platform. Problems You’ll Get to Solve:
- Engineer virtual delivery solutions that enable Elevate K-12 live instructors to deliver the most personalized, interactive, and engaging instruction to K-12 students across schools in the U.S. today and globally in the future.
- Build innovative solutions that allow teachers to teach from anywhere on their own terms and rediscover their passion for teaching.
- Develop solutions that enable schools and districts to seamlessly integrate live interactive platforms into their educational systems, solving the teacher shortage crisis while creating unique learning opportunities for students.
- Construct analytics and AI-powered solutions to tailor content, curriculum, and teaching approaches based on large-scale education delivery models.
The Job:
As an SDE I - Fullstack, you will:
- Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance applications using .NET Core, C#, and modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Flutter/Vue).
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in fullstack development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement new features.
- Develop and implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications for optimal performance and usability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech/Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- 1 - 3 years of experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language: C#, Java, or GoLang.
- Experience with relational databases like MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle.
- Experience in modern frontend technologies such as Angular (10+), React, Flutter, or Vue.
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript/Dart.
- Knowledge of state management libraries and experience in UI development.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Understanding of cloud platforms like Azure/AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- General understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with GitHub repositories or freelanced projects (not college projects).
- Understanding of MS Technologies: .NET Core, C#.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB.
- Experience with Cypress/Playwright for UI testing.
- Good understanding of HLD, design patterns, and scalable system design.
- Prior experience developing scalable APIs, schema design, and microservices architecture.
