The Scrum Master will act as an effective change agent, promoting agile best practices to teams focusing on alignment with business, relentless improvement and delivering value. This individual will support enterprise agile adoption and maturity across the enterprise by observing, evaluating, and implementing changes to solve organizational and cultural impediments to improve the agile transformation of a program or project.
ESSENTIALS DUTIES

Be a point of contact for helping others be aware and understand agile best practices.

Be a servant leader to the scrum team.

Clearing any blockers

Facilitate agile meetings/ceremonies for teams. Ensuring purposes are met, effectively and efficiently.

Ensure the team is always aligned with product/sprint goals.

Leverage Azure Boards or another workflow tool, ensuring the team and stakeholders are getting proper value from the tool and visibility into the work coming into the team.

Assist in implementing training programs.

Partner with Lead Scrum Masters and RTE (if applicable) in planning efforts for the portfolio.

Coach agile best practices to the scrum team. Continuously ensure agile best practices are being followed.

Support enterprise agile adoption and maturity across the enterprise by observing, evaluating, and implementing changes to solve organizational and cultural impediments to improve the agile transformation of a program or project.

Collaborate with team and leadership to re-enforce and teach agile best practice.

Always driving team to improve culture, processes, and delivery.

Communicate changes, intended goals, timelines, and results.
-
Implementing training programs.

Monitor improvement in maturity, quality, predictability, and delivery as the adoption of agile practices increases to ensure coaching meets the required outcomes.

Be a servant leader for scrum teams that are just starting their agile journey, assess, meet the team where they are, and setup plans to move the team forward.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
-
One or more agile certifications preferred (e.g. CSM, CSPO, CSP, PSM, PSPO, SAFe).
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Energetic and skilled at engaging with different team members with different personalities.
-
Ability to learn quickly and teach others by showing what worked and what did not work.
-
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
-
Ability to prepare presentations including charts, graphics and tables, speaker notes & handouts, etc.
-
Ability to communicate both verbally and written are essential to work closely with team members and managers, and effectively manage problems as they occur.

Effective organization and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE
-
5+ years of Agile experience.
-
Experience leading one to two scrum teams.
-
Experience delivering IT products and services.
-
Understanding of IT Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery methodologies.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to create effective documents and review them with key project stakeholders and multiple levels of the organization.
