We’re looking for two Team Leaders to join our team: one for our Packet Investigations team and one for our Script Investigations team. Both roles are crucial to ensuring that all examination packages and results are delivered accurately and on time.
What will I be doing?
- Recruit, lead, train, and mentor seasonal and permanent staff.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers. Leading the team in consistently delivering a best-in-class service that meets our customers’ needs.
- Support the Reconciliation Manager by providing timely and accurate updates on the Script and Packet Investigations Process, highlighting performance against milestones and KPI’s, and identifying and recommending actions as appropriate.
- To support in the monitoring and management of performance of the team against agreed service and performance standards setting KPIs, ensuring quality is maintained and schedules are met.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements

Summary
As a key member of the Operational Data department, the Script Investigation Team Leader role is to manage the Script Investigations team and ensure that all Script Investigation processes are completed in a timely manner so that all results are delivered accurately and on time for AQA and customers of AQA Assessment Services Ltd.
Achieving high quality standards, managing processes, contact with customers and maintaining agreed productivity schedules along with contributing to process improvement are all key aspects of the role.
The Script Investigation Team Leader has responsibility for the line management of permanent staff and is part of a team required to work closely with operational stakeholders both internal and external to AQA.Landscape
The Script Investigation Team Leader role sits within the Operations group and is part of a team accountable for ensuring each candidate who has taken examination material for AQA or customers of AQA Assessment Services Ltd is processed correctly and ultimately achieves the result they deserve.
Activities
Strong understanding the processes of Script Investigation and a good understanding of the Packet Investigation process.
Manage a team, ensuring the development and growth of team members through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management, while aligning their skills and goals with the department’s objectives.
Build exceptional relationships with our internal teams and external customers, leading the team in consistently delivering a best in class service that meets our customers’ needs.
To support in the monitoring and management of performance of the team against agreed service and performance standards in KPI’s, ensuring quality is maintained, schedules are met, and managing underperformance where appropriate.
Identifying any issues with understanding or performance of duties within the team and resolving or escalating as appropriate.
Actively partake in the continuous improvement process, assisting in the identification, analysis or implementation of new initiatives.
Assist in the recruitment, training and onboarding of seasonal or new permanent staff to the team.
Support the Script Investigation Manager & Reconciliation Manager by providing timely and accurate updates on the Script Investigation process, highlighting performance against milestones and KPI’s, and identifying and recommending actions as appropriate.
Work closely with the Packet Investigation Team Leader on the planning, scheduling and permanent staff allocation to Reconciliation processes for all exam series.
Supporting Packet Investigation process delivery where required.
Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking other responsibilities which are of a commensurate level as business needs change.

Need to know – to be successful in this role you will need to know
Able to use the marking and scanning software, while being proficient with Office 365, particularly Excel, Power BI and Access.
Foundation knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform.
Have a clear understanding of the working instructions for the relevant operation ensuring any changes are communicated, understood, documented and controlled.
Supervise and mentoring of staff in line with the culture and values of AQA.
Ensuring the allocated team are fully trained and have a clear understanding of all processes to be carried out.
