About the Role:

Superluminal Medicines, Inc. is seeking a skilled and collaborative Scientist/Sr. Scientist with a strong background in GPCR pharmacology and drug discovery to join our growing and dynamic Biology team. We are a biology-first drug discovery company harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to address bottlenecks in drug development while seamlessly integrating biology, chemistry, and computation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and perform in vitro screening and MOA assays with precision, ensuring high-quality data to support drug discovery programs.
  • Troubleshoot experiments and analyze complex datasets with scientific rigor and integrity.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of experimental protocols and data, adhering to quality and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including computational biologists and machine learning scientists, to interpret and share experimental results.
  • Develop and optimize experimental methods based on literature and emerging technologies.
  • Present experimental findings and insights in team meetings to drive project milestones.

Requirements:

  • PhD or MS in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field with 5+ years of laboratory experience in GPCR pharmacology or drug discovery.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with biochemical, cellular, and/or binding assays, with a proven ability to deliver reliable and reproducible data.
  • Expertise in GPCR biology and pharmacology is essential.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including cell culture, reagent preparation, and the use of lab instrumentation/software.
  • Ability to independently design experiments, analyze results, and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in research.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Bonus Qualifications:
    • Experience with small molecule drug discovery.
    • Exposure to in vivo pharmacology and animal studies (preferred but not required).

This is a lab-based position that requires a hands-on, innovative approach to advancing discovery efforts.
