Job Description Summary:
The Global Development and Innovation (GDI) center is pivotal to The Coca‐Cola Company's beverage innovation, and our goal of delivering products that consumers love. The GDI Nutrition category team is focused on juices, dairy and plant based beverages with responsibilities in areas including brand maintenance, supply continuity, and end to end new product development. As a Manager in Product Development, the candidate will be responsible for managing ingredient inventory and supplier relationships for multiple billion dollar juice brands, and for consistently delivering the best tasting product recipes week after week, all year round. The ideal candidate will also lead business and supply continuity efforts, and have a passion for innovation that will contribute to our portfolio’s security and future growth. The ideal candidate will also have strong product development skills and experience, preferably in the world of juice.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Learn and execute the orange juice blends and inventory management processes in North America. Associate will drive both strategic and tactical blends management for orange juice and all other juices used across TCCC’s billion dollar juice brands.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team (Juice Procurement, Global GDI, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Analytical Services, Manufacturing, Marketing) to preserve and grow the company’s juice portfolio.
- Plan and execute projects and research experiments focused on innovative solutions to supply challenges, taste optimization, or potential cost reductions that drive competitive edge in our portfolio.
- Utilize a deep understanding of Operating Unit structure, supply chain, value chain, and the concentrate part model to identify and execute efficiency opportunities in North America and globally.
- New Risk Awareness: Stay informed about emerging supply risks, especially those related to juice ingredients used in our North American juice portfolio (climate impacts, agricultural growing & caretaking practices, geopolitical issues, growth trends, etc).
- Project Execution: Execute new recipe development or adaptations (End to End) ensuring projects meet taste, quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements; ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Experimentation: Continuously search for new and better ways to drive a positive consumer experience in an efficient and sustainable manner with a focus on reducing the risk exposure of our portfolio from an ingredient perspective.
- Utilize a deep understanding of beverage technology and leverage all available tools, literature, and subject matter experts in order to find new ways to do things better, faster, and more cost effectively.
- Innovation and Prototyping: Develop lab-scale prototypes, conduct analytical testing & sensory testing, facilitate pilot-scale productions, and co-lead with the operating unit the scale up trial runs in manufacturing facilities. Apply statistical methods and design of experiments to enhance product development efficiency and learning. Leverage digital tools to document formulas and mixing instructions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Report project outcomes, share learnings, participate on cross-functional teams, and provide insights and data to guide decisions and innovations.
- Leverage big data to develop a narrative and tell a story that can be used to drive strategy and influence key stakeholders.
- Be externally focused, with a curious eye on competitor activities / strategies and trends in the category in an effort to identify growth opportunities.
- Digital Savviness for Innovation: Harness digital tools, technologies, and platforms to gather insights for product development. These include market trends, consumer preferences, and social media information.
- Use artificial intelligence to aid in ideation and concept development, and to accelerate the creation of new ideas.
Qualification & Requirements:
- 3-5 years successful product development experience and/or supply chain experience in the beverages industry or 5-7 years of successful experience in the food industry. Juice experience preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in food science, chemistry, or related field.
- Highly skilled in the Microsoft Office suite, and also proficient in Power BI.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in an additional language a plus.
- Willing to travel up to 20% annually.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of agricultural ingredients, beverage development, processing technologies, and beverage industry standards. Data analytics knowledge preferred.
- A strong scientific background, and ability to partner with our analytical science team to better inform blends management decisions.
- Ability to work in a beverage lab, along with basic understanding of beverage industry equipment and tools.
- Effective use of data and visual tools to tell a story and to help create and define a strategy.
- Stakeholder management, innovation leadership and strategic decision making.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Agility, resiliency, and creativity to navigate new product development challenges.

Pay Range:
$105,000 - $129,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
