Our team in San Francisco is focused on transforming the lives of patients with severe immune-mediated diseases by developing novel targeted therapies with outsized clinical impact, faster. To accomplish this, we seek a highly motivated Senior Scientist with a background in immunology and/or pharmacology who will report to the Research Immunology Lead and will make highly visible contributions to multiple therapeutic discovery programs.
What You’ll Do
- Perform and lead cutting-edge immunology research at the bench.
- Develop and drive an independent line of research with a focus on mast cell-mediated conditions.
- Contribute to HI-Bio discovery programs through conceptualizing and developing novel and innovative therapeutic strategies to address autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
- Advance preclinical discovery & development of novel antibody therapies within a team of experienced drug hunters.
- Present at scientific conferences and publish in leading journals.

You are an enthusiastic bench scientist eager to push antibody drug discovery programs from the bench into clinical testing. You are driven by the opportunity to play a key role in multiple therapeutic discovery programs.
Qualifications
Required Experience
PhD in immunology, cell biology, pharmacology or a related scientific field with 0-2 years of industry experience OR Masters degree with 4 + years of industry experience
- Technical expertise in areas such as in vivo and/or in vitro immunology models and extensive experience in multicolor flow cytometry.
- Demonstrated success applying in vitro cellular assay development using cell lines or primary cells as well as complex in vivo mouse models.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with mast cell biology or immune-mediated diseases is a plus.
The base compensation range for this role is $102,000.00-$153,000.00k. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
