About the Position

We are currently seeking two NEPA Planners with 3 to 8 years of experience to join our growing team in the metro Atlanta area. The successful candidate would support our existing environmental team with NEPA documentation for both transportation and Department of Defense clients. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets.

About Our Team

Our team of environmental professionals includes biologists, ecologists, regulatory specialists, engineers, planners, GIS analysts, and community engagement specialists. Our environmental team is based in Atlanta but is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world. Our existing environmental client base includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would engage across markets and geographies.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high-quality work
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
  • Preparing NEPA analyses and deliverables
  • Managing schedules and environmental special studies including sub-consultant partners

Desirable but not required:

  • Georgia DOT Plan Development Process and environmental processes
  • Coordination with interdisciplinary teams of designers and environmental SMEs for various infrastructure projects
  • Assembling and managing project teams, proposals, budgets, and schedules
  • Public engagement

Qualifications:

  • BS in a relevant environmental discipline
  • 3 to 8 years of experience with NEPA
  • Strong QA/QC skills and ability to deliver complete and clean documents
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as projects required

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Scientist II with a salary range of $58,700.00 - $86,400.00 .
