We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented professional with entrepreneurial spirit to join our company! Responsibilities:

· Design and optimize downstream purification processes, leveraging advanced harvest, clarification, concentration, chromatography, and polishing techniques for lentiviral vectors, AAV, extracellular vesicles, cellular therapies, and other modalities.

· Ability to improve processes for product purity, recovery, impurity removal, and cost reduction.

· Draft, review, and refine development documents and reports

· Work closely with upstream scientists and analytical groups to ensure the highest standards of product potency, and overall quality.

· Support the tech transfer of the process to MFG team.

· This is a hands-on lab-based position requiring a flexible schedule based on experimental work (some weekend work may be required).


Required qualifications:

· B.Sc. or M.Sc. in chemical engineering, biology, biotechnology, or related discipline.

· Over 8 years of specialized experience in downstream processing with a strong emphasis on viral vector production.

· Proficient in advanced purification techniques such as affinity and anion exchange chromatography, with extensive experience operating AKTA chromatography systems and utilizing Unicorn software.

· Broad experience with filtration-based unit operations such as tangential flow filtration, sterile filtration, and depth filtration.

· Experience in scaling up and scaling down downstream processes for viral vectors or biologics. 

· Preferred if familiar with SPTFF, TFDF, and viral clearance processes.

· Strong team worker who is also independently motivated, detail oriented and possesses good problem-solving capabilities.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Strong verbal and written skills; able to handle confidential information and material appropriately
