Scientific Software Development Intern, Coarse-Grained Modeling of Lipid Nanoparticles
Schrödinger seeks a Scientific Software Development Intern for Coarse-Grained Modeling of Lipid Nanoparticles (MD) to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life by developing and applying advanced computational methods.
As a member of our Desmond team, you'll help develop prototypes for and apply our suite of tools for simulating and computationally characterizing lipid nanoparticles to aid in the development of formulations for new therapeutics. Your experience with computational chemistry, particularly coarse-grained simulation techniques will help you make key contributions to advancements the solutions that we provide to the pharmaceutical industry.

What you'll do:
- Learn about, exercise, and extend our lipid-nanoparticle software toolkit
- Collaborate with team members to prototype and apply computational methods to assisting in key aspects of lipid nanoparticle behavior and design
- Simulate large molecular systems using atomistic and, especially, coarse-grained methods
What you should have:
- Proficiency in Python, with experience with similar languages being a plus
- At least two years of experience writing and debugging code
- Basic knowledge of molecular dynamics simulations and familiarity with coarse-grained modeling
- A foundational understanding of physical chemistry or biochemistry

Estimated base salary: $7,500/mo . Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
