We are seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our SP Transmission Planning Support team. The successful candidate will support the wider operations team with plant maintenance orders, purchase orders, and organise a detailed daily program and site requirements for all transmission maintenance activities.
This role also involves supporting the Transmission Planning Lead Engineer with quality management systems related to transmission maintenance activities. By ensuring all requirements for the successful delivery of the transmission maintenance program are available, you will contribute significantly to our Net Zero goals.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll prepare monthly and daily plans for allocated staff in conjunction with the appropriate Team Leader. You’ll create plant maintenance orders and update corporate systems for transmission maintenance activities. Managing Field Mobile Devices, including the allocation of work and support documents, will be part of your role.
You’ll ensure materials are available for all tasks and liaise with the Transmission Engineering Resource Planner/OCC to secure outages and engineering support. Identifying defects and repairs, creating work orders, and integrating them into the work program will be key tasks.
You’ll produce weekly and monthly management reports for the Transmission Field Operations Section and conduct safety, environmental, and quality audits on staff and contractors.
Additionally, you’ll provide administrative support for the Transmission Defect Recording System and contribute as an effective team member of the Transmission Operations and Maintenance team. Ensuring compliance with Company Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and working towards a zero-accident culture are essential aspects of this role.
What you’ll bring
- Knowledge of scheduling maintenance and inspection processes
- Familiarity with corporate IT systems related to the management of transmission plant and apparatus.
- Strong planning and organising skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to operate at all levels of the business.
- Working knowledge of Business IT systems, Energy Networks policies, procedures, and working practices.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Experience with purchase order and invoicing processes.
- Developed negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite and SAP.
