SAP S/4HANA Controlling Lead

Job Description:

• S/4HANA Migration Leadership
  • Lead and oversee the migration of SAP Controlling (CO) modules to S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational continuity.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies, including data migration, system configuration, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Coordinate and execute testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) to validate system accuracy and performance post-migration.
• Controlling Process Optimization
  • Analyze existing controlling processes and identify opportunities to leverage S/4HANA functionalities for cost controlling, profitability analysis (CO-PA), cost center accounting, and internal orders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize financial reporting, planning, and budgeting processes through S/4HANA CO enhancements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for controlling transformation, ensuring alignment on objectives and managing expectations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive management and finance teams.
• Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure that all configurations and processes within S/4HANA CO comply with financial regulations, organizational policies, and audit standards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential issues in data integrity, financial reporting, and compliance during the migration process.
• Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing
  • Drive continuous improvement in controlling processes by utilizing insights gained from S/4HANA capabilities and CO module optimizations.
  • Mentor and train finance and technical teams on S/4HANA CO best practices, enhancing the organization’s ability to leverage SAP for financial controlling.

Primary Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:
  • 15+ years of experience in SAP Controlling (CO), with at least 5 years in leadership roles and recent experience in S/4HANA migrations for controlling functions.
• S/4HANA Controlling Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA CO functionalities, including cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis (CO-PA).
  • Strong experience with S/4HANA migration, including data migration, configuration, system integration, and compliance with organizational requirements.
• Strategic Vision and Alignment:
  • Ability to align S/4HANA Controlling initiatives with broader financial strategy and organizational goals.
• Project Management Proficiency:
  • Expertise in managing complex SAP migration projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of financial compliance and risk management within the SAP CO framework, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities to assess complex controlling requirements and design effective SAP solutions.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical controlling requirements into actionable strategies for both technical and non-technical audiences
