The Boeing Company is currently seeking a SAP S/4 Order to Cash Functional Design Senior Manager to join the SAP S/4 Center of Excellence to manage the Order to Cash (O2C) Functional Design team in either Seattle, WA; Kent, WA; Tukwila, WA; St. Louis City, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Dallas, TX; Ridley Park, PA; or Arlington, VA.

As the SAP Functional Design & Delivery Manager, you will manage all the O2C | R2R value streams, maintaining the template and landscape up to date, supporting the business in designing and developing new solutions, and ensuring that all changes, projects, enhancements and fixes are applied according to the SAP activate methodology and best practices of the industry. You will manage the workload of the functional team based on the business priorities, while coordinating and communicating in a timely manner with the stakeholders. As an important agent for change and innovation, you’ll need to be up to date with recent updates of existing and new modules in the market, SAP and non-SAP, that bring efficiency or robustness to the core business process while pushing cutting edge technologies or automation.

The individual is expected to be an expert in global organization management with the ability to handle team members dispersed across multiple United States sites as well as other global locations. Strong business acumen and collaboration skills are paramount in a demanding and highly skilled work environment to collaborate and influence people and decisions from stakeholders to other IT divisions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and integrate employee and first-level manager activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis

  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquire resources for department activities, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manage and provide developmental opportunities for employees and first-level managers

  • Drive end to-end technical design, and in collaboration with delivery team’s realization and deployment activities across the enterprise and SI’s

  • Adopt and establish standards, best practices and processes as needed towards design high quality functional and technical solutions

  • Drive governance of the functional and technical design of Solution Delivery functions

  • Represent solution delivery architecture with cross functional teams across the ERP solution delivery including, but not limited to development, testing, data management, infrastructure, security, operations and release management functions

  • Manage the workload and backlog of the functional analyst team, guaranteeing that their capabilities are keep updated, while also working in sync with the Development team

  • Support the functional and development team in designing solutions that are aligned with the current architecture, using the infrastructure in an efficient way

  • Measure, track, and correct outcomes based on metrics including Service Level Agreements (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), user-experience, and customer satisfaction

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 10+ years of experience within information technology

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP architecture and configuration

  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of SAP specialists

  • 5+ years of experience managing Order to Cash (O2C) value streams in a SAP S/4 environment

  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Certifications in SAP related technologies

  • 10+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization

  • 10+ years of experience using Information Technology (IT) systems

  • 5+ years of experience in the Digital Transformation Environment (DTE)

  • 5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams

  • 5+ years of experience with Information Technology Program or Project Management

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $151,300 - $218,500
