The SAP Basis Architect (STSA) will have a deep and broad level in the technical skill set of SAP Basis Administration and expertise including deep skills in the SAP technical stack of products. With an established technical skillset, the STSA will engage in many critical aspects of the software and database maintenance/support delivery process including technical analysis, requirements definition, technical solution design, testing, implementation, customer support, team development, sales/marketing activities and technical process improvements. The STSA will provide expert-level “architect” expertise and have the ability to manage compliance throughout all aspects of support delivery and the technical solution life cycle.

Requirements:

  • 15-20+ years support experience
  • SAP expertise should include the flowing areas.
  • SAP Installs and Upgrades (Multiple Applications)
  • Supporting Several SAP implementations of various software packages.
  • Experience supporting migrations from on-premise to cloud platforms.
  • Installations of Enhancement and Support Packages and support software components.
  • Experience supporting a suite of SAP products, included but limited to ECC, BW, CRM, SRM, MDM, FOIRI, HANA, Java and Abap stack environments, etc.
  • Experience in SAP new dimension products
  • Experience supporting various Database platforms including Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, MaxDB, Sybase.
  • Understanding the ABAP Language · Experience installing and configuring 3rd party products connected to the SAP system.
  • Experience with Multiple operating systems, such as Linux, HPUX, MS, etc..
  • Solid Cloud Experience supporting SAP landscapes on platforms including AWS, Google, Azure. Understanding Cloud architecture and the components that support SAP.
  • Knowledge in SSO, SSL, SLD.
  • Ability to navigate, retrieve, research client information on SAP’s website.
  • Work as a member of a diverse global Basis team, collaborating, sharing, troubleshooting, communicating across multiple clients and teams at various levels in an organization.
  • Performance tuning and monitor expertise in multiple SAP Applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership for resolving client issues/problems.
  • Ownership for project related work.
  • Ability to be on-call rotation schedules as required for internal and external teams throughout the year.
  • Responsibilities include creating architectural solution for proposals, positioning against competition on big-ticket sales opportunities, increasing close/demo ratios, providing technical assistance at on-site demos/presentations.
  • Responsibilities also include performing “Proof of Concept” studies, white paper concepts, pre-sales support, product training to sales force, strategic markets management, sales resource support, and expedited access to key or strategic accounts.
  • Responsible for defining the end to end architecture for complex SAP systems for customers that are on or planned to be on 3rd party Spinnaker Support.
  • Additional duties as defined by the management team.
  • Will take the requirements and develop well-formulated models of the components of the solution, augmenting the models as necessary to fit all of the circumstances and define intersection points with other solution areas.
  • Responsible for the logical and physical architecture of applications and infrastructure within the most complex areas of a technology segmented solution portfolio.
  • Research, analyze and recommend new technology, architectures, frameworks and products for complex solutions as well as design and develop architectural prototypes.
  • Identify emerging trends and thought leadership in software development and introduce these to benefit the application/project as well as the enterprise.
  • Must have multiple years and industries of actual end to end implementation experience of SAP architectures.
