Salesforce CPQ Business Analyst (BA)1Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, document requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for Salesforce CPQ solutions.
- Solution Design & Optimization: Define and implement scalable CPQ configurations, including product catalog setup, pricing rules, discount structures, approval workflows, and contract management.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current sales and quoting processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend enhancements using Salesforce CPQ best practices.
- Configuration & Testing: Assist in CPQ system configuration, perform unit testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between sales teams, finance, and IT to align CPQ solutions with business objectives and ensure seamless integration with CRM, billing, and ERP systems.
- Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, training materials, and conduct training sessions for end-users to maximize CPQ adoption and effectiveness.
- Data Management & Reporting: Ensure data accuracy within CPQ by managing product bundles, pricing rules, and approval hierarchies, and provide insights through reports and dashboards.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Address CPQ-related issues, work with Salesforce administrators and developers to resolve technical challenges, and ensure smooth system performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ.
- Strong knowledge of quote-to-cash processes, pricing models, and discounting strategies.
- Experience in requirement gathering, process documentation, and business process re-engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce CPQ configuration, including product rules, pricing rules, approval processes, and contract lifecycle management.
- Understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and its integration with CPQ.
- Ability to write basic SOQL queries and create reports & dashboards in Salesforce.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and billing system integrations is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred:
- Salesforce CPQ Certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist).
- Experience with Apex, Flow, or Salesforce Automation tools is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Scrum teams.
