Inside Sales - Customer Service Representative

The Company is looking for a full-time Technical Inside Sales-Customer Service Representative to join the team who is motivated, hardworking, and analytical. The position is responsible for day to day vendor management and selection for suppliers to ensure delivered product quality, availability and value aligned with business goals and objectives. An outstanding candidate will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to influence, and have strong negotiation skills. 

Core Job Functions:

• Answering and directing phone calls and fielding customer inquiries
• Escalate issues for quick resolution
• Maintaining appropriate notes utilizing ERP software
• Order entry and expediting existing orders with vendors
• Timely responses to customer questions related to delivery, product issues and pricing
• Supporting outside sales reps, may assist in quoting as needed
• Perform a variety of customer service, administrative and clerical tasks
• Manage special projects as required

Education / Experience:

• Associate or Bachelors Degree, preferably in Marketing, Sales or Business Administration
• Minimum 2 + years experience of customer service experience in a technical field (5+ preferred) 
• Prior work experience in machine tools or automation is desirable.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
• Experience or knowledge of machining operations is a plus.
