The Director, Sales Solutions Architecture will lead a team of Solution Architects (BSAs) in a creative, matrixed environment, building new capabilities and engaging cross-functional teams to drive pre-sales activities for the AMERICAS market, focusing on industry expertise across segments like Automotive, Logistics Technology, Public Sector, and LATAM. The BSA team influence sales acceleration, customer relevance, and growth in the AMERICAS region.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement presales strategies for North America and LATAM to accelerate sales and customer engagement. Define requirements for consultative solutions and build a skilled team.
  • Align with Services & Support teams to integrate end-to-end product and solution delivery, ensuring seamless customer engagement.
  • Align HERE's technology portfolio with industry-specific go-to-market strategies. Drive customer engagement and messaging to address business priorities.
  • Conduct opportunity analysis to identify customer needs, match with relevant solutions, and incorporate partner ecosystem insights.
  • Design optimal solution architectures that address customer challenges, including risk mitigation and business case development.
  • Collaborate with account teams, partner managers, and customer archetype teams to inform solution options and ensure sales success.

Who are you?
Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years in sales engineering or customer-facing roles (pre/post-sales)
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or GIS
  • Strong matrix management, influence, and customer acumen
  • Expertise in translating technology transitions into customer solutions and executing vision
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, RESTful APIs, database technologies (RDBMS/NoSQL), and cloud services
  • Experience with data architectures, SW development (CI/CD, DevOps), and mobile development (Android/iOS)
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and executive presentations
  • Ability to interface effectively across Product, Development, and Sales teams
  • Domain expertise in GIS, location services, and cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)


The expected base salary range for this position is $194,000 to $250,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus, which is subject to company and individual performance.
